Ruby 'Flying Saucer' chandelier Earrings

Kent Raible is well known for his 'Flying Saucer' Earrings. This latest pair includes 5mm round Diamond cut round Rubies weighing 1.21cts total. Below the top, we see a spinning vortex culminating in the 'Saucers', each set with 36 Diamond cut round Rubies, with a total Ruby weight of 1.81 carats. Kent granulated the pattern on the saucers, then removed the gold in between, creating this open, floating feeling. The bottom portion of the earring spins and moves freely. The omega style earring backs insure a comfortable and secure wear. The total 18 carat gold weight is 16.2 grams. The earrings are 2" long, and 3/4" at the widest point of the saucers. These are hand fabricated, one of a kind earrings.

Unlike much “designer” jewelry made today, all jewelry work is done under Kent's direct supervision, with the majority of pieces made entirely by his hand. Beginning with the artist's vision and his sketch, every aspect of the work is done in his studio: alloying the metals, pouring ingots from molten gold, then rolling and drawing the sheet and wire stock used in fabrication, making of granules and small parts used to produce each of Kent's fabulously intricate pieces.
All work is handmade in the USA.
