This inverted Omega cradles an outstanding and exceedingly rare 7.37ct Chrome Tourmaline. Yes, Chrome Tourmalines are out there, but one of this size, clarity and color, are not easy to come by.
Like many of Kent's Masterworks, this piece is a culmination of literally years of contemplation and musing. Having the central gem sitting on his bench, the piece slowly takes shape. He sketches, his palate of accent stones comes into play, and imaginings of the future owner float through his mind.
Finally he decides on the true natural blue of Zircon as the accent stones, with just a hint of diamond sparkle at the tips, giving way to the 'Wings', as Kent has named the caps which integrate the chain into the body of Omega.
The elegant tapering hand woven chain, a trademark of Kent's work, brings a suppleness and perfect balance to the fullness of the central piece.
The clasp is never an afterthought in Kent's work, it is in itself a magnificent jewel. The two halves slide together and snap closed for a very secure fit and have a safety catch for added security.

Unlike much “designer” jewelry made today, all jewelry work is done under Kent's direct supervision, with the majority of pieces made entirely by his hand. Beginning with the artist's vision and his sketch, every aspect of the work is done in his studio: alloying the metals, pouring ingots from molten gold, then rolling and drawing the sheet and wire stock used in fabrication, making of granules and small parts used to produce each of Kent's fabulously intricate pieces.
All work is handmade in the USA.
